Individual banking solution for safety-critical environment, Encrypted UPS communication Reference

GAD, an IT competence center for over 450 Volks- and Raiffeisen Banks, called for a solution that fit seamlessly into its existing security architecture. Their safety-critical environment was taken into consideration and a solution was developed that would guarantee an uninterrupted power supply to their data centers.

The main criterion here was to only allow authorized persons access to the infrastructure and processes. In order to realize this, an SSL encrypted communication from tSE UPS management software to tSE UPS to the server was implemented.

The new levels of security were not only integrated into the software, but also into the dedicated hardware blocks. Only then was a closed security solution achieved.
